For a long time now, the maket has been saturated with enough FW190 cowlings that there was no need to make any.  Now that they are hard to find we need to start making them againand the former supplier no longer exists.   The new mold is under development now.

Improved Control System Mount

The new re-designed, LASER CUT control stick is slightly modified to make it easier to manufacture and as a result we created a much stronger assembly.

All three variations are available and are in the current version of the catalog.

 

F4U Gearbox Analysis   

It was reported that there were several dimentional problems in the drawings for the F4U gear box assembly.  We decided to get the drawings into a 3D model to locate those problems.   Everything is coming along great!   Here is where we are in the process.

FW190 Aluminum Fuel Tank     

The NEW Aluminum fuel tank is nearly ready for production!

The standard composite fuel tank is also under development using a new fuel friendly resin. 

FW190 Windshield Frame        

The windshield frame is coming along and is very near to complete. 

Determining the best fasteners to use and getting the pre-cut windshield lenses made is all that is left to do before final fitting. 

Wheel Rims         

The first prototype has been a HUGE hit!  The second prototype is currently being made and it will incorporate all suggested improvements.

 

F4U Canopy

After 3 Years, it is finally here!   

The new mold was developed from scratch and is modeled after the last known good canopy ever made.
